Enter on line 12c the qualified expenditures paid or incurred during the tax year for which a shareholder may make an election under section 59(e). In addition, corporations can’t deduct membership dues in any club organized for business, pleasure, recreation, or other social purpose. This includes country clubs, golf and athletic clubs, airline and hotel clubs, and clubs operated to provide meals under conditions favorable to business discussion. Do not reduce the corporation’s deduction for social security and Medicare taxes by the nonrefundable and refundable portions of any FFCRA and ARP credits for qualified sick and family leave wages claimed on its employment tax returns. Include fringe benefit expenditures made on behalf of officers and employees owning more than 2% of the corporation’s stock. Also report these fringe benefits as wages in box 1 of Form W-2.
